This past weekend, I had the pleasure of not only helping with but also participating in a Women’s Leadership Summit hosted by the YWCA Niagara Region. The intention of the Summit is to create an opportunity for people to come together and celebrate our accomplishments, inspire one another and redefine what leadership looks like in Niagara. This conference, now in its 5th year has already had a positive impact in the community. This year’s theme was:  Make Your Move. Together.

Individually, we are all strong, capable leaders. But together, we can work collaboratively to help create social change. As women and allies, we have the power together, when we raise our voices and lift each other up.

While at the conference, I was encouraged to think about myself as a woman leader. Am I using my voice to encourage and inspire others? What about you? Regardless of whether you are male or female, how are you helping others to lead and step into their own power?

My vision through my business has always been to help others reach their full potential. As parents or adults, we generally tend to ask kids WHAT they want to be when they grow up. I think a better question is WHO do you want to be when you grow up?  It’s not about what you do, but who you are. What qualities do you have or want to represent? More importantly, how are you living these on a daily basis?

I hope my qualities are well represented through my website and speak to who I am.  If you haven’t seen it yet, please check it out. And let me know your thoughts.  The Centre for Leading and Living.

And, if you’re having trouble identifying who you are, contact me. I’m happy to provide you with a complimentary session so you can start to own your own power and create change. It all starts with a conversation. I look forward to hearing from you.
